In the last four years of journey of Donate an Hour -DoaR India, we have been lucky enough to work with many amazing people. Kati Cysarek is one of the amazing people with whom we got a chance to interact recently. She is a German national, managing and running a school and a hostel for street kids in Varanasi. She is doing this work tirelessly for the last 11 years. She lives in Varanasi with her 4-year-old son and speaks Hindi fluently. She feels that teacher’s training in India needs a big change and in future, she wishes to open her own treacher’s training school. In her recent visit to Delhi, she graciously accepted our invitation to conduct a 2 days Teacher’s Training program for our volunteers. Below is some glimpse of the training session. Her techniques are already showing their effectiveness.
